The fellowship is named in honor of Haakon Ingolf Romnes, late Trustee and President of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) Board. With this fellowship, the University recognizes academic success and provides an opportunity for continued development of an outstanding research program.

The Organic Reaction Catalysis Society honors Prof. Hermans for his significant contributions to catalysis of organic reactions of industrial importance. The award is bestowed in honor of Mr. Augustine’s many significant achievements to catalysis and will be presented to Prof. Hermans during the ORCS biennial conference in San Diego, beginning of April 2018.
