Alessandro won the A. Parmaliana Award given by the Interdivisional Group of Catalysis (GIC) of the Italian Chemical Society for the best Ph.D. thesis in catalysis for sustainable development. He has been invited to present his work titled “Glycerol Oxdehydration to Acrylic Acid on complex mixed-metal oxides” at the joined congress of CIS-6, GIC and AIZ in Amantea, Italy June 14-17 2015.
